The Story of Here for You

Here for You is a ministry that has been stirring in my heart for years. I am continually amazed by how God has pursued me and graciously included me in His work—often in spite of myself. The shaping and seasoning He has brought into my life have been an unexpected gift—one I didn’t know to ask for, but one for which I am deeply thankful.

While God has faithfully led and shaped my life through His Word and His Spirit, a significant part of that growth came through the investment of my long-time mentor and friend, Jerry, who is now face-to-face with Jesus. His life was a beautiful example of what it means to invest in others—equipping and encouraging them to grow in Christ through the study of God’s Word and walking alongside them as they lived out their callings.

Here for you is, in many ways, the fruit of that investment. Jerry often described this as a “trunk ministry”—seeing himself as the tree trunk, faithfully providing what the branches needed to thrive as they served God and others.

That vision did not end with him—it continues here.

At Jamie Hulker: Here for You, we are committed to carrying that same legacy forward—equipping and encouraging others to grow as disciples of Jesus and to faithfully engage the places God has called them. Everything we do is rooted in helping people better understand who God is through His Word and how that shapes the way we live today.

Which brings me to our Name: Here for You. The word “You” in our name carries a double meaning, reflecting Jesus’ call to love God and love others (Matthew 22:37–39): honoring and serving God by honoring and loving others—the heartbeat behind Here for You.

This is not a solo effort. It is a shared work. Faithful friends, trusted ministry partners, and family members each contribute in meaningful ways, bringing their unique gifts and callings to this ministry.

And now, you are part of that story too.

As we move forward together, my prayer is that we would each continue to follow God’s lead—growing in our own understanding of Him and faithfully walking out what He entrusts to us, for His glory and others’ good.

Jamie's Story

Hi, I’m Jamie.

I grew up in the local church, where I was first introduced to the truth of who God is and what He has done.

I’m a Bible teacher, author, and ministry leader with a deep love for helping others understand and engage God’s Word in ways that are both theologically grounded and accessible. I’m convinced that Scripture is not only true, but understandable—and that knowing God through His Word changes how we live.

My teaching is rooted in a deep commitment to Scripture and shaped by studying it in its historical and literary context. I care about helping people not just read the Bible, but understand it—so they can see who God is and how His Word speaks into their lives, and learn how to faithfully walk it out in the places God has called them.

I’m also a bit of a research nerd, which led me to earn an MA in Ministry from Moody Theological Seminary. That training, combined with years of teaching and ministry experience, informs everything I write and teach. My goal is to take what can feel complex and make it clear, without losing its depth.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching in churches, conferences, and academic settings, both in the United States and internationally. My ministry has taken me to more than 35 countries across six continents, giving me a broader perspective on the global Church and the ways God is at work across cultures.

At the heart of it all, I want to help people know God more fully and walk faithfully in what He has entrusted to them—for His glory and others’ good.

I care deeply about unity in the Church. In John 17:20–21, Jesus prayed for those who would believe in Him—that they would be one. That matters. While I hold firmly to biblical truth, I have no desire to divide over what is not essential to the faith. My prayer is that what I teach would both honor God and contribute to the unity of His people.

Outside of ministry, my life is full in the best ways. I live in Franklin, Tennessee, with my husband, Bryan, and our two fun-loving dogs. I’m a proud mom of two adult sons and a very grateful MiMi to our grandkids.

These days, you’ll find me teaching in churches, conferences, and other settings, traveling often—both for ministry and with my husband, family, and friends—and always up for a good conversation over coffee. When I have a little downtime, I’m usually hiking, reading, or paddleboarding with my dogs.

What We Believe

Here for You is a nondenominational discipleship ministry that believes the following:

THE FATHER

We believe God the Father orders and directs all things according to His purpose and pleasure. He has created humanity to bring Him glory and honor through His grace. While He is transcendent, He is also personal and actively involved in His creation—offering an eternal relationship with us through His Son, Jesus Christ.

(Matthew 6:9; John 5:19-24; Ephesians 1:3-6; 2:1-10)

THE SON

We believe that Jesus Christ—fully God and fully man—though He never ceased to be God, He humbled Himself in His incarnation, taking on human nature and living in full dependence on the Father. Born of a virgin, His sinless, sacrificial death on the cross satisfied the Father’s justice, providing atonement for the sins of humanity for all time.

We believe in His bodily resurrection, physical ascension, and visible return to earth to establish His kingdom.

(John 1:14-18; Colossians 1:15-20)

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit executes God's will in this world by leading, guiding, filling, teaching, and convicting humanity. We believe that the Holy Spirit is not merely an impersonal force but a person, displaying the qualities of personhood (intellect, emotions, and will). We believe that the Holy Spirit equips believers, irrespective of gender, upon conversion by giving them gifts to be used for the building up of the church and by bearing fruit through their yielded lives.

(John 16:7-11; Ephesians 2:10; Ephesians 1:13-14; Galatians 5:22-25)

HUMANITY

We believe that humanity is created in the image of God and that, together, male and female reflect that image.

We also believe that humanity is destined to enjoy an intimate relationship with God and with one another; however, because of Adam and Eve’s willful sin in the garden, sin entered the world and infected all of humanity. As a result, humanity was separated from God, spiritually dead, destined for physical death, and an eternity removed from God.

(Genesis 1-3; Romans 1:18-32; Romans 5:12-21; Ephesians 2:1-3)

SALVATION

We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins as the only sufficient sacrifice that can offer atonement for the sins of humanity. Further, we believe that through His death, burial, and resurrection, salvation from the above-mentioned ramifications of sin is available to all who ask Him for that free gift accomplished by the finished work of Christ on the cross. As a result of this new relationship with God through His Son, Jesus, we are called to a life of submission to the Holy Spirit, to manifest spiritual fruit, and to walk in the good works that God has prepared beforehand for us to do.

(John 14:6; Acts 4:12; John 1:12; Ephesians 1:7, 2:8-9; Hebrews 10:10-14; 1 John 5:11-13; Galatians 3:26; John 3:16)

THE SCRIPTURES

We believe the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the verbally inspired Word of God, without error in the original manuscripts, and the final authority for faith and practice. We affirm that God’s Word is true and trustworthy in all it teaches and is to be interpreted in its normal, historical, and literary context.

We also believe that Scripture reveals God’s nature and His will for humanity—not as an end in itself, but as the means by which we come to know Him and grow in relationship with Him.

(2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Matthew 5:18; John 17:17; Hebrews 4:12)

THE KINGDOM

We believe God promises to make all things new at the end of all things. He invites us, His followers, to join Him in this work of redemption and restoration of His fallen creation. We believe that Jesus Christ will return to earth again, ushering in His Kingdom. (Revelation 21:5)

NONESSENTIALS

We affirm that the inspired, inerrant, authoritative Word of God lays out doctrines of the Trinity, the deity of Christ, the bodily resurrection, the atoning work of Christ on the cross, and salvation by grace through faith, and that these doctrines make up the essential, distinctive nature of Christianity. We acknowledge that there are also peripheral, nonessential doctrines that are important to fellow believers but are not be critical to salvation. While we may hold positions on these nonessentials, we will not allow these doctrines to cause division within our ministry or with those we minister to or alongside. (John 17:20-21)
